Time for Make-Over

pampering myself...hehe

So it was April 16 when i made the kindest pampering for myself...and i am very thankful that a day like this came.

Whoa, my hair, though long, was dry, full of tangles and was not shiny. But i love it regardless.

And then here comes the pampering...not free though.

People called this a MAKE-OVER.

Whew...so makeover does great deals physically. People look at it and praise your hair...uhm..not you.

When i thought about it, i realized "what" kind of MAKE-OVER does a person really needs. Though we need to be approachable with our looks, or we need to be love by our physical appearance, MAKE-OVER within made a person appreciated.

Psalms 90:17
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

The beauty of the Lord seen upon us...that's the glory of God shining on our faces not because we smile a lot but because God's love is there. It's a make-over that represents who we are in Jesus. We are God's children and God is precious and beautiful so as God's own, we must be beautiful inside and out...ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. What we need is a Spiritual Make-Over!!!

Here's one story i've read:
Charles William Eliot, former president of Harvard University, had a birthmark on his face that bothered him greatly. As a young man, he was told that surgeons could do nothing to remove it. Someone described that moment as “the dark hour of his soul.” Eliot’s mother gave him this helpful advice: “My son, it is not possible for you to get rid of that hardship…But it is possible for you, with God’s help, to grow a mind and soul so big that people will forget to look at your face.”
Glow and grow and make Jesus shine on you.

Shining for the Lord,

Place to Relax

Being RELAX is getting a place for relaxation. A place where you could unwind and be refreshed.

I cannot be relax by being alone. Being relax is being with my loved ones. Enjoying the sun and the water.

A place where you could enjoy as a family. Something private, where you could be yourself. For celebrities, this what is they called, a place free from cameras and medias.

We found a place. A place where i got married with the man the Lord sent for me to love. Whew i missed my honey.

This place is also recommended for those who wanted joy and peace. It can also be a place of prayer and fasting. Also a place for friends and youth camps. A place for all.

Like An Icecream

Whew, so this is really SUMMER eh!!!!

Summer is not only for people to go to beaches but it's also about getting an icecream ready for every turns.

Life is like an icecream. We melt! We melt when we're overwhelmed with something. We melt for joy or for pain.

I remembered when my husband, while we're talking about something, he stopped and looked at the ice that melts and says, "good for the ice coz it metls, some people just don't"...i knew what he meant by that. Some people won't just melt with the message of the CROSS. Some people are just overwhelmed by living life the way they wanted it.

The message of the CROSS melted every hard and cold hearts...but still there are people who don't.

And people who do are the happiest people. Because we knew about salvation that comes from believing in Jesus who died on the cross, who sacrificed His life for all.

Jesus is Lord!

His Name melts me.
His Name brought me low.
His Name changed me.
His Name moves me.
His Name saves me.

Once i was in the dark, His Name led me to Himself to His light. And i enjoy every moment with my Saviour King. I am happy beyond description because the Lord has been sooooo faithful to me.

Thank You, Jesus.

God gave me you

Can't sleep tonight.

I had a glance at twitter, ate turnip, made an icecube, search for songs.

SEARCH FOR SONG and found so many. And one (while making icecubes) played repeatedly.

It reminds me of the times when my husband was here...yes, like women or like most wife do...i also have complains. And then realized that this husband is the man the Lord gave me to respect, cherish, love, share joy with, to submit to.

Lyrics:

For all the times I felt cheated, I complained
You know how I love to complain
For all the wrongs I repeated, though I was to blame
I still cursed that rain
I didn't have a prayer, didn't have a clue
Then out of the blue

God gave me you to show me what's real
There's more to life than just how I feel
And all that I'm worth is right before my eyes
And all that I live for though I didn't know why
Now I do, 'cause God gave me you

For all the times I wore my self pity like a favorite shirt
All wrapped up in that hurt
For every glass I saw, I saw half empty
Now it overflows like a river through my soul
From every doubt I had, I'm finally free
I truly believe

In your arms I'm someone new
With ever tender kiss from you
Oh must confess
I've been blessed:

My Heart Cries Out for the Living God

Lord, stay
I need You
I long for Your Presence

Lord. listen
I am praying
I am believing

Lord, answer
In Your love i want to dwell
In Your words i will be well

Lord, stay. Lord, listen. Lord, answer.

Some Vacation Photos

Vacation in the Province

What's so different about it? It's the fresh air and the cleaner environment compared to the city.

We visited our relatives in the Northern Luzon, Philippines. Went to my dad's old family house and get to know relatives that i haven't seen since birth.

Awesome place.

I love the field. I guess they're just done harvesting.

I've seen few people still on the field, looking for watermelon that is ready for harvest. People are happy except for one man standing in his place. He is alone and old. He needs harvester. But seems like people have their own thing. He got two sacks ready. Only two that his carabao could carry on a small wooden thing attached to its body. For that day, he could not harvest all. Im thinking what if the fruit will be over ripe the next day, then he lost an opportunity to sell them. Hmm...if only he hired harvesters. Or if only he didn't come alone. Or if only someone from the nearby place helped him then he could harvest more.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
We don't labor in vain. The Scripture says we will reap something in God's perfect time. He knew our labor and works of love and He is faithful....evermore.

I would like to go back to the province and learn more. Maybe next time i will be helping in the harvest season.

For Christians, harvesting is everyday.

Why Do We Go To Church?

First, i wonder why people don't go to Church?

I don't know where i've heard this but one time someone says that some people, instead of going to church, they prefer to listen to Bob Dylan in the radio.

I don't know him well, but my husband loves to sing "Blowin' in the Wind".

Some people don't go to church because they don't know the VALUE of it. When we say something or someone is valuable, it is of course desirable and it is something to appreciate. Some thinks that it is just a tiring and boring routine. Some still says that it's just a ceremony meant to be attended when someone is celebrating their birthdays or anniversaries.

Hebrews 10:25 (New King James Version)

not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
We go to Church because:

It is a Divine Commandment - Deut. 12:5
    It is a Privilege - Psa. 84
To Receive Blessings from God - Psa. 84:4
It is a Holy Day - Exo. 20:8-11
    The Lord Expects us

 God bless us abundantly.

Never Change

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever

Praise the Lord for His Word.
I must confess that there are times that i am questioning life without thinking WHO is the Giver of it. I compared myself to others without thinking again that i am crafted by God's own hands. I complained without looking back to all the blessings that i received. I rebelled without knowing that i don't have any rights for it.

And GOD IS GOOD. He really is. Despite all of my impatience, He remained patient.

He is the SAME. He will never change. My life has been filled with so many things and He remained the same. He is the God that delivers, heals, taking us away from us, from the "me-monster". He is the God that bless and gives increase. He is the God of the beginning and the end but He is never ending. His mercy endureth forever.

I sing a song at our church today entitled "never change" by the Infinite Devotion Music Team. Jesus moves. The message is awesome and i can feel the love of the Lord on every sides and lyrics of the song.

Just to give you an idea, here's the lyrics:

You came into my life
Oh Lord You saw me in the dark
Embraced me with Your arms
Unfailing love was what I found

I just don’t know why You gave
Your life away
To see me through
Thank You for the love
Lord You’ve been my help
Every single day
Never ever change
Jesus I love You
Let me worship You all day
For You I decided to stay
And let Your will be done in my life
I know I ain’t no good for this call
But then You still love me

God is an amazing God. His faithfulness endures too. It happened to me. I am a living testimony of the goodness of God..you too. That's why we ought to always make Him famous in our lives.

Praise the Lord evermore.

March is LOVE Month

My parents celebrated their birthdays this month. Papa 14th and Mama 16th.

Papa decided to have it celebrated in the house with us, our relatives, neighbors and friends. But before the celebration, we had Bible Study first. So awesome that evangelism took place on the day of my Papa's birthday. And again the glory belongs to the Lord. We were all happy. And seeing that tears from Papa's eyes when Pastor prayed for him, made me cry too. It's not always that papa cried. It's not always that we can see "surrender". It's not always that we can see how thankful Papa is. And oh it's his birthday and we thank the Lord so much for our Papa's life. 60 years and enjoying it. We pray for more years and ofcourse for him to really accept the Lord as his Lord and Saviour. I believe, Lord, it is happening. Amen.

And just yesterday, we celebrated Mama's birthday outside. We had dinner at Vista Marina Resort. Mama wanted it to be different. To celebrate it more privately. But then in the morning, we had "sopas" (soup) and "lumpiang sariwa" that we brought at the school where she work. Oh by the way, mom is 59 now.

March is LOVE month for Papa and Mama. It's thanksgiving! It's rejoicing for another year. It is life. It is a gift. It is the Lord's.

I love you, Papa and Mama.

Here's some photos we have that days:
