Why do we shout when angry?

A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger? Why do people
shout at each other when they are upset?'

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our
calm, we shout for that.'

'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint. 'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their
hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'

Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'

The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.

God bless folks!

...Thanks be to God

Lord I tremble at Your word
As my heart and soul are stirred
In Your presence I am reverent
To give the honor You deserve

Oh the majesty and the glory of Your name
Is the name of Jesus
The majesty and the glory of Your name
Is the name of the Lord

We give You worship
We give You praise
To the glory of Your name

Lord I'm shaken by Your love
That You would send Your precious Son
To come to earth and purchase me
There's no other name so sweet

Every knee will bow, Every tongue confess
Every knee will bow, Every tongue confess
You are Lord, You are Lord

Isaiah 57:15 (New International Version)

15 For this is what the high and lofty One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
"I live in a high and holy place,
but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.

God bless us all!!!!

Nice Story to Share

I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come from
the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work. Coming my way
from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum. From the
looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There
are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just
don't want to be bothered. This was one of those "don't want to be bothered
times."

"I hope he doesn't ask me for any money," I thought.

He didn't.

He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop but he didn't look like
he could have enough money to even ride the bus.

After a few minutes he spoke.

"That's a very pretty car," he said.

He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him. His scraggly blond
beard keep more than his face warm.

I said, "thanks," and continued wiping off my car.

He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never came.
As the silence between us widened something inside said, "ask him if he
needs any help." I was sure that he would say "yes" but I held true to the
inner voice.

"Do you need any help?" I asked.

He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget. We
often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from those of
higher learning and accomplishments. I expected nothing but an outstretched
grimy hand. He spoke the three words that shook me.

"Don't we all?" he said.

I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum in the
street, until those three words hit me like a twelve gauge shotgun.

Don't we all?

I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed
help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare, but
enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day. Those three little words
still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have
accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter
how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep,
you can give help. Even if it's just a compliment, you can give that.

You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all. They
are waiting on you to give them what they don't have. A different
perspective on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from daily
chaos, that only you through a torn world can see.

Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe he
was more than that. Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise, to
minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves.

Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum, then said,
"go minister to that man cleaning the car, that man needs help."

Don't we all?

~~~~
Just so touching for me to really confess that I NEED HELP! (yeah, im shouting lol)
Ok who doesn't need help?
Today, the topic in our Church is about a righteous man's FAITH. And then before the service ended, pastor told us to think of two things that we think are impossible for us but possible with God and ask the Lord to work on it.
I can only think of wisdom and salvation of my whole family. That's what i've asked of the Lord. And without a doubt...by faith...i know He can do it - working in the lives of my family.
It's always a good feeling to BELIEVE.
Thank you Lord.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
Then Sings my Soul Saturday
Lyrics:
Just a little while longer I wanna pray
Can't get You off my mind so I came to say
Thank You Lord just for loving me
Many times as I do forget
Every need that You have met
Oh thank You Lord, I know You're showing me
You are there when I am down and out
You're holding me, Your love is so amazing
Oh it changed me
Chorus:
Here I am with all I am
Raise my hands to worship You
I wanna say thank you, oh thank you
For everything, for who You are
You cover me, You touch my heart
I wanna say thank you
I could have died in my sin but You saved me
Didn't have any hope at all
You gave me peace divine, strength to carry on
I should have been the one to pay
But instead You took my place
My Jesus, words cannot explain
Even though I don't deserve Your love for me
You look beyond my fault and You showed mercy
CHORUS
I wanna say thank you for the sun
I wanna say thank you for the rain
Everything You do is beautiful
I'm so grateful for Your love
Declaration: Year of Favor
Isaiah 61:1-4 [NIV]
The Year of the LORD's Favor
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on Me [Christ], because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor. [that's us]
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
PSALMS 144:15
The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
God's timing will always be the BEST for us. We might not understand it, or accept it, or do it, but God knows what He's doing. No need to complain. God is GOOD ALL the time.
What we have In Christ?
In Christ we have:
A love that can never be fathomed
A life that can never die
A righteousness that can never be tarnished
A peace that can never be understood
A rest that can never be disturbed
A joy that can never be diminished
A hope that can never be disappointed
A glory that can never be clouded
A light that can never be darkened
A purity that can never be defiled
A beauty that can never be marred
A wisdom that can never be baffled
Resources that can never be exhausted.
It's so good to have Jesus in our lives. Would you asked for more? With Jesus, we lack nothing 'cause we have everything. God sustains.
He completes us.
Quotable Quotes
Just wanted to share some quotes sent by my friends.
"It's ironic that the times when God seems most absent can be the times when we get to know HIM better." "It's a lifelong journey to understand that who God is will not dissappoint us.
"The longest, most ardous journey in the world is often the journey from head to heart. Until that roundtrip is complete, we remain at war within ourselves." Stephen W. Smith
"God is kind, but He's not soft,In kindness He takes us firmly by the hand & leads us into radical life-change." (Rom. 2:4 MSG)
Romans 2:4 (New International Version)
4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
My friend, these flowers are for you. All of you. Smile and have a blessed day with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Cheers!
Then Sings My Soul
Psalm 18:1-3 (New International Version)
For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said:
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn a]">[a] of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
I have a copy of the movie "Facing the Giants" which i again watched last night after hearing this song from youtube.
It has blessed me enough to be patient on the Lord's blessed timing.
Waiting is not always easy. It takes a lot of courage and strength to wait. We are human beings who are not always satisfied with how things are and when things are.
We might say, "If others can wait, why can't I", but let's check our heart (talking about my own experience), the doubt is there even if we are willing. We may ask, "for how long will i wait?"
But God's TIMING IS STILL THE BEST! (whew i feel like i have been living with this statement lately hehe...what can i say but...GOOD for me....cheers!)
Here's a song that will surely blessed you, as it blesses me soooo much.
While Im Waiting
By: John Waller
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
God bless everyone.
Have a great weekend!!!
Joy in His Presents????
So what if the Lord delayed it? or if He answered you with a NO this time?
Then the JOY won't be there anymore?
This is the problem i've noticed from fellow Christians.
They've talked about Christ presents, "i have prayed for me to be graduated from college this year even though i know i have not been serious in my studies, this is the gift i want from God this year"...do you think God doesn't know your labor? Do you think God would teach you to cheat on yourself, finishing your degree without learning?
The gift of God, material or immaterial are all so precious. God is very much serious in giving us gifts as we delight in Him.
God is more interested in us asking for His presence and then He will take charge of the presents He wanted to give us. Sometimes, it's not our petitions but God's love that matters because it leads to greater things that we don't expect but will truly treasure and love in the end.
The rewards of seeking God are awesome - not only will you develop a closer relationship with God, but you will also find true joy and contentment.
I am evaluating myself on whether i seek Jesus or i seek to find His presents.
I desire Jesus in my life. This my soul knows very well (smile)
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Precious Lord, grant me your presence today. May i be content in every little and big thing that you do for my life. Your gifts are free. I know You knew even before i ask.
I love my Jesus...gonna shout it...I LOVE MY JESUS!
Reconciliation (continuation)
On my previous post, which i've wrote an hour before this one, i mentioned about forgiving and asking for forgiveness.
Encouraged myself to do this or else i won't sleep and not be at peace.
I have written from my heart. God dwells in my heart. I know He make ways. And it happens no matter how or what i feel. God will reign over my feelings.
I did say "sorry" and a lot more explanation. My plan is to be reconciled with this friend of mine for only a minute. But it took us one hour to talk things out. Whew, God's plan are the BEST everyone could ever had.
We have been reconciled. It's give and take. Forgive and ask forgiveness. No one could say, "you're wrong and im right" because truth prevails that each of us committed something that leads to misunderstanding. If not so, why are we then fighting? hehe...God is good...oh so good.
Im down on my knees. Surrender. My pride would just eat me whole, because God's power is mightier than the word's pride.
God restores. God heals.
Sweet Jesus, thank You so much for the PUSH.
Lesson learned again.
Reconciliation
Ask forgiveness if you have done wrong.
Forgive if someone hurts you or do things against you.
....before it is too late.
Im a Snob
Yes, i am. (with a smile)
I chose to SNOB temptation and negatives as well as the work of the flesh today and hopefully the next days too.
I chose Jesus.
Encourage Yourself
Looking through today's situation: seeing broken marriage, battered wife, unsolved crimes, child labor and trafficking, higher cost of education, abortion, homosexuality, and a lot more to mention - i am discouraged.
But God is bigger than those things. There's hope when we look unto Jesus.
Even for the above mentioned situation, God sees and works on it all.
I just need to be encouraged.
God bless you all.
One Thing
I desire to worship Jesus.
I desire to know His will 'cause it's His will for me to know His will.
I desire to be obedient of the Lord's call.
I desire to be fishers of men and save some.
I desire to seek Him and not be satisfied with the little things i know.
I desire to learn of His Mighty POwer.
I desire to gaze upon His glory and majesty.
I desire to proclaim how great and good God is.
I desire to make Jesus famous in my life and in my family and the community.
I desire to be with the Lord.
I desire to be home with Jesus.
Lyrics everyone:
One thing I desire
One thing I seek
To gaze upon Your beauty
And Your majesty
God of my salvation
Lifter of my head
Teach me how to live oh Lord
In Your righteousness
So I pray to You
So I pray to You
Lord Your name
Is higher than the heavens
Lord Your name
Is higher than all created things
Higher than hope
Higher than dreams
The name of the Lord
In the day of trouble
You cover me
In the secret place of refuge
Lord I will sing
I will seek Your face
Call upon Your name Jesus
All I want is You
Jesus
I LOVE this song - it's so simple and heartfelt that it just moves you to worship.
Truly Lord God Your Name is higher than hope.. higher than dream.... I will seek Your face call upon Your name... To God be the Glory...
He deserves it!!!
